Code of Conduct

Welcome to Overton Education! We are delighted to have you join us for a period filled with learning, fun, and adventure. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask all participants to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  1. Respect Others:
    – Treat fellow participants, staff, and volunteers with kindness and consideration.
    – Bullying, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
  2. Follow Instructions:
    – Listen attentively to staff and follow their instructions promptly.
    – Failure to comply with staff instructions may result in a risk to personal safety and will not be tolerated.
  3. Safety First:
    – Prioritise your safety and the safety of others.
    – Follow all safety guidelines, rules, and procedures provided by Overton Education staff.
  4. Proper Use of Facilities:
    – Respect school property, facilities, and equipment.
    – Report any damages or issues to Overton Education staff immediately.
  5. Health and Hygiene:
    – Maintain good personal hygiene.
    – Inform Overton Education staff of any health concerns, allergies, or specific health and safety protocols that need to be followed.
  6. Appropriate Attire:
    – Dress appropriately for scheduled activities.

Consequences for Non-Adherence:
– Verbal Warning: Participants may receive up to three verbal warnings before parents are contacted, unless it involves serious behavioural issues, including but not limited to fighting, abusing staff, vandalism of equipment, and facilities.
– Parent/Guardian Notification: In the case of persistent issues or serious behavioural concerns, parents/guardians will be informed, and a meeting may be scheduled.
– Immediate Dismissal: Serious breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in immediate dismissal.

Appeals Process:

– Participants and their parents/guardians have the right to appeal any disciplinary actions. Appeals should be made in writing to the designated Overton Education staff within 24 hours of the incident.

Whistleblowing Policy
  1. INTRODUCTION
    Overton Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability. This Whistleblowing Policy is established to encourage employees, contractors, volunteers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns about illegal or unethical activities within the organisation.
  2. SCOPE
    This policy applies to all individuals associated with Overton Education, including but not limited to employees, contractors, volunteers, and third-party service providers.
  3. DEFINITIONS
    – Whistleblower: Any individual who reports a concern or suspicion of wrongdoing within Overton Education.
    – Wrongdoing: Any illegal, unethical, or improper activity that violates laws, regulations, or organisational policies.
  4. REPORTABLE CONCERNS
    Whistleblowers are encouraged to report concerns related to, but not limited to:
    – Financial misconduct or fraud.
    – Violation of laws and regulations.
    – Breach of Overton Education’s policies.

    Knowingly making false accusations may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or legal action, in accordance with English law.

Safeguarding Policy
  1. INTRODUCTION
    Overton Education is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants involved in our educational programs in England. This safeguarding policy outlines our dedication to promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable individuals, as well as providing guidance on preventing, recognising, and responding to safeguarding concerns in accordance with English legislation and best practices.

  2. LEGAL FRAMEWORK
    This policy is designed to comply with relevant legislation, including but not limited to:

    – Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018

Terms & Conditions Agreement

This Terms and Conditions Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into by and between the undersigned participant (“Participant”) and Overton Education (“Company”) for participation in any Overton Education activity, including all holiday camps and revision sessions (the “Activity”). By completing the registration process and submitting payment, Participant acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Cancellation Policy:
    • Full refund minus a £25 cancellation fee if cancelled anytime up to 29 days before the start date of the activity.
    • No refund if cancelled within 28 days of the start date of the activity.
  2. Early Booking Discount: Cancellation Policy:
    • 50% refund and £25 cancellation fee if cancelled anytime up to 29 days before the start date of the activity.
    • No refund if cancelled within 28 days of the start date of the activity.
  3. Cancellation Procedure:
    • All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to overtoneducation@outlook.com.
    • The cancellation date is considered the date the written notice is received by the Company.
  4. Refund Process:
    • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 business days from the date of receiving the cancellation notice.
    • Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment.
  5. Changes:
    • Participants may request changes in writing up to 15 days before the start of the Activity.
    • Change requests are subject to approval by the Company.
  6. Activity Changes or Cancellation by the Company:
    • The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Activity for any reason.
    • In the event of cancellation by the Company, Participants will be entitled to a full refund of the activity cost.
  7. Participant Responsibility:
    • Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Activity location.
    • Participants are responsible for any additional expenses incurred during the Activity.
  8. Code of Conduct:
    • Participants are expected to adhere to Overton Educations code of conduct.
    • Any violation of the code of conduct may result in expulsion from the Activity without refund.
  9. Liability:
    • The Company is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the Activity.
    • Participants are encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance coverage.
  10. Cooling Off Period:
    • Participants have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking, during which they can cancel and receive a full refund. This right may be waived if the Activity starts within the 14-day period and the Participant agrees.
  11. Governing Law:
    • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
